SEND Swimming
Our disbability and SEND lessons can either be taught as a private lesson or under our JelliENGAGE programme.
The learning outcomes serve as a general framework, with these awards specifically designed to foster water confidence and help participants develop comfort and skills in an inclusive aquatic environment.

wavedancer 1
CRITERIA:
Enter the water safely
Recognise the teacher
Explore water with hands and feet
Attempt to blow bubbles in the water
Exit the water safely

CRITERIA:
Move around in the water with support or aids
Kick legs with support
Demonstrate safe water practises
Be comfortable with water sprinkled over head
wavedancer 3
CRITERIA:
Move 3-5 meters in the pool with a float or noodle with or without support.
Float on back with minimal support.
Understand basic water safety

CRITERIA:
Swim 5-10 meters with a recognised stroke with minimal assistance
Attempt rotations from back to front
Perform a treading water leg kick with or without assistance

CRITERIA:
Swim 10-20 metres independently
Tread water for 10 seconds
Demonstrate controlled breathing techniques
Show an understanding of how to rescue peers in the water
